7 Scriptures to help worry

Here are seven Bible passages to help if you are prone to worry. I would encourage you to read them every day. Allow them to sink deep in to your heart and mind and try to memorise them.

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [7] Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 29:11 NLT
[11] The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace.

Psalm 55:22 NLT
[22] Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT
[3] You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! [4] Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.

John 14:27 NLT
[27] “I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT
[7] “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. [8] They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

Proverbs 3:24-26 NLT
[24] You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. [25] You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, [26] for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
